PIONEER project brings an optimisation framework allowing a seamless dataflow along the material value chain, from product design to manufacturing and quality control to improve design and production efficiency through interoperability between virtual engineering and process/quality data.
The TEKNIKER Factory Digitalization and Replicability Open Research Lab (ORL) is an open innovation ecosystem to promote, visualize, replicate the solutions researched and developed within PIONEER. It aims at providing industry with assets and smart industry services for training, research, testing and validation applying different manufacturing technologies within diverse sectors such as construction, automotive, and others. Furthermore, the ORL acts as a contact point among technology providers and manufacturing companies requiring the offered services.
Access to different manufacturing technologies (SMC, PVD, AM-LMD, etc.), material characterization and quality inspection services, process digitalization services, interoperability and analytics capabilities are provided by the Open Research Lab which includes some of the assets from the Basque Digital Innovation Hub (BDIH), e.g., Laboratory for the integral characterization of fluids and materials, PVD pilot line coating facilities for industrial components, Robotic cell for large component construction by powder deposition, or Light composite manufacturing and characterization unit.
